So Many Good Things!

Image
I love it when there are multiple messages in the box. This means we have so much GOOD going on! From Kamiliya Aumiller: "The daffodils have turned white."  I love this and I love the first signs of spring. Fun with nail polish (it really is the little things in life!): "If you get your nails done with white petals and a yellow center, it looks like a cute fried egg." 🥚 And this big announcement: A big shout out from Camryn Igo who was awaiting important info. She write "I don't have cancer!" I think we can all get excited about this good news!

Reading Outside and Positive Professors

Image
I'm always excited when we have several submissions to the One Good Thing blog! Today I'm sharing two and next week, I'll add the others! Anonymous Submission: "Research projects with professors who car e about helping you learn and grow!" This is so amazing to hear as both Mrs. Schnettler and Mrs. McGowan have collaborative programs. Reading this and knowing there are great things happening is awesome! Anonymous Submission: "We went outside for story time with Mrs. McGowan. It made my day!" I know this seems so simple, but to teachers, it isn't. We truly want our students to enjoy our classes, and yes, there are certain things we all 'have to teach.' However, by and large, we do work pretty hard to make class engaging. Knowing that you all care about these little moments makes a teacher's day!

We have several good things to share today! Saniyyah Williams wants to give a "shout out" to Annie or being such a great help in History class and really appreciates their friendship! 💜

A Smile Goes a Long Way!

Image
The fastest way to brighten someone's day is to smile at them. I find myself always unconsciously beaming at everyone I see, and them returning the action with a beautiful smile of their own. So SMILE! You never know how much someone may need it (or how much you may need it, too).  Submitted by: Amari Larry

Finding Comfort and Confidence: A Morning Reflection

Image
This morning during my quiet time, I came across Psalm 40:2 and found it really uplifting. It reminded me that as I walk in faith and make decisions with faith, Jesus is right there with me, guiding me along. It's reassuring to know that I don't need to stress because he has a fantastic plan in store for me. 😊💓 Submitted by anonymous

Small, Great, Things

We have several messages this week and that's amazing! Keep them coming!! "Middle College has a great support system" ~ Saniyah  "Talking about books with friends give me really good recommendations and warning about bad books. It's like a mini book club!" ~ Anonymous 📚 "I am able to sit next to a friend who helps me thanks to Mrs. B and Mrs. McGowan." ~ Annie "Life has no meaning, and that's amazing." I know this last one sounds "ominous" BUT this quote can be interpreted positively because it frees individuals from the pressure of trying to find some grand, predetermined purpose in life. Instead, it invites them to create their own meaning and purpose , embracing the freedom and potential that comes with it. It suggests that life's lack of inherent meaning allows us to define our own paths, pursue our passions, and find fulfillment in whatever brings us joy and fulfillment. It's an empowering perspective that enc

How Can You Show Your Love Today?

"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than than, that someone lay down his life for a friend" (John 15: 12-13). In the midst of a storm know that the king of the universe loves you no matter your walk of life. There is no greater love than that of sacrifice. How will you show your love today?
